
Chris is a unique trainer in his ability to challenge you, move things along and motivate even when you may be struggling, tired or distracted.
He varies the sessions in a more subtle way than I’ve had with other trainers, and gives you the hardest workout almost without you realising it at the time.
Some days just body weight stuff, cables, some with weights, and some a combo. Never the same session even over time.

Surgeon was not prepared to operate on my knee. With Chris's training he strengthened my knee and I was able to climb Mount Kenya and trek to Everest base camp.

I was recommended to Chris after I had a knee operation following a fall. I had in fact two knee operations and when I first went to Chris I walked with a stick. Chris very expertly got my knee operational again and I was impressed with both his diligence and the care he took. When you have an operation like that you get very fearful and Chris helped me regain confidence and belief that everything would be all right.

I then decided to have Chris as my trainer. The sessions were intense but always very interesting. Chris varied the routine and was always challenging me to extend myself. I have a weight problem and Chris made me realise that while exercise was important so was diet. What is more he was always an engaging and interesting conversationalist so gym sessions were not just relentless work we also had entertaining conversations ranging over a whole range of subjects.

When I first started training with Chris 5 years ago I had become quite unfit after many years of working long hours in a City job and having done little to maintain my fitness after the birth of my two children. I started working with Chris because I had been suffering from backache as a result of a degenerate disc in my spine attributable to the sedentary nature of my job. My goal was to strengthen my back on the recommendation of my physio but I had no idea that I would achieve so much more than that. Through Chris’ tailored sessions, combining many different techniques, which he constantly evolves in order to progress you, I have gained fitness, core strength, physical strength and far better posture and toning than I thought possible. He is incredibly careful about pushing you to achieve more with safety and confidence as a priority. I no longer consider myself to have a back problem because of the strength I now have. Chris believes that his work should give you the training that allows you to use your body better in everyday life through greater balance, strength and control and it really has done that for me. I would highly recommend Chris as a trainer. Whatever your fitness goals he will help you surpass them and will also make it fun along the way.

Years of seeing a depressingly long succession of specialists, physiotherapists and osteopaths had done very little to prevent frequent debilitating back spasms. It was only after starting regular training with Chris that I finally realised that injury prevention above all requires effort from oneself to improve strength and flexibility. Chris's sessions are varied and focussed, he is very caring and encouraging and after a couple of years, twice a week plus homework, my back spasms are finally a thing of the past. To the point where I am even playing Tennis two to three times a week.
